NOTE ABOUT - CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

This is a comprehensive online training system that uses 2-3 min. instruction videos, followed by immediate practice, followed by another 2-3 minute video and this process repeats itself.  Providing the student a gradient apprentice-like environment to learn at their own pace. Every two hours there is a Tom Talk (for the Live Online Seminar) where the instructor will recap what has been learned, typical issues that may arise, and a question and answer session.

TMR 1 includes 10 Grades or lessons from Preschool through Grade 8.

Ceu's for most states are all or none.  You must attend the Live Seminar [or watch the videotaped homestudy and fax us the forms you fill in while watching the videos].

We seek approval in just about every state that requires it for TMR 1.  Most Boards or Associations have approved our comprehenisve training program for 16 credit hours.

You are responsible for understanding your state rules & regs, however we attempt to stay up to date on them.  We are here to help so feel free to contact us at tmr.soros@gmail.com or totalmotion@gmail.com or call us at 919.749.2106.  We make every effort to get back to you within 48 hours, so if you don't hear from us by then, get back in touch with us.  We do find that some emails get lost in cyberspace.

TYPES OF LEARNING FORMATS - 2 formats to choose from

Live Online Seminar:

Student watches seminar from their computer, laptop or tablet - either at home or work.  You will be able to see & chat live with the instructor and will be turning in a form after each lesson for immediate feedback via cell phone, fax or email.

Every 2 hours there is a Tom Talk that is a brief summary and Q&A session for 20-30 minutes.

The seminar is - streamed live over your internet connection.  No special computer skill is needed.  A webpage link will be sent to you prior to the seminar that you will click on to see the video screen.  If you have dial up, a slow internet connection, or attempting to watch on a cell phone or ipad this format would not be appropriate.  We also suggest you check to make sure your speakers are working.  Simply go to www.youtube.com and click on any video.  If you can hear it loud and clear then you are good to go.  If you can hear it, but the volume is low, we suggest you purchase some external speakers from a retailer store like Walmart, Best Buy, Staples - for about $20.

All course material is sent to you via an email 1 week prior to the seminar.

Home Study Course:

This format is just like the Live Online Seminar except for you don't have any of the Tom Talks every 2 hours recapping what you have learned.

OVERVIEW of TMR 1

Total Motion Release – Level 1 will teach & provide extensive lab time for the therapist to learn the foundational TMR Exercises called the FAB 6, the rules of how to and when to progress these exercises, tweaks to speed the results, a formula that shows why a person is in pain, stays in pain or gets better, how to take the FAB 6 exercises into multi-planar motions & different body positions for more complex conditions.  Additionally, you will learn how to get more patients to comply & complete treatment by increasing their awareness to the purpose of why they are coming to you.

Upon completion of TMR – 1 the participant will understand the neuromuscular basis for Total Motion Release, know how to perform a full body assessment & treatment program and have learned the TMR documentation format for reimbursement. The attendee will have experienced a new understanding of how the body heals and will be able to use this knowledge effectively to perform TMR on their patients Monday morning. This is a workshop that the participant will be the patient and will experience their own pain relief and how to fix any future issues they may have elsewhere in their body. This is the same information they will be taking home and sharing with their patients. Attendees leave with a sense of empowerment and a renewed sense that they now can teach patients how to fix themselves – even the most difficult patients.

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Learn the TMR Concept, the FAB 6 Power Exercises, taking those 6 into 1 D & 2 D motions in Standing and Sitting.  These can be used patients with any condition (except wound care) to reduce pain and/or increase functional limitations.
  • Learn a fundamental process of recognizing when to & how to progress a patient
  • Learn the documentation for patient testing, treatment and tracking.  Also use as an eval note, daily note, DC note
  • Learn a formula for the cause of pain/limitations and the cause for relief/total motion
  • Learn how a change in a planar motion or a body position can be the difference between success and failure
  • Learn how rekindling the patients purpose is all that is needed to gain greater compliance and completion of treatment.

Progress through Grades 17-25 that have you exploring what I call the icing on the cake for helping patients fix themselves.  You will learn 360 degrees of motion for every joint and how to use the best motions to fix the worst motions.  TMR Level 3 will be explored in all 7 Body Positions - Standing, sitting, kneeling, on all 4’s, belly, back, & sidelying.  The student will also learn how to get rid of trigger points, how to use positional TMR and power TMR to help those who might be problematic.  Not to mention learning how to deliver TMR most effectively & efficiently to doctors, patients and co-workers.

TMR 2 progresses similar to TMR 1 & TMR 2.  The student progresses at their own pace and every 2 or 3 hours a 20-30 minute Tom talk for re-cap of material and question & answer session.
